I am interested in all design disciplines and for many years had an interior design consultancy, designing offices, shops, furnishings and even a few houses.  I have always had a few small, personal projects on the go at any one time; these include house renovations, making furniture and wooden sculptures. Recently I have become more interested in photography at the same time that photography has moved to digital, and I started to travel more, particularly across Australia.

Whilst I still enjoy making objects, photography has become my main interest over the last five years. I have had the opportunity to improve this skill by taking pictures on my many international and national trips, Iceland, Japan and the UK, to name a few. However, outback Australia remains a favoured destination.

Whilst I take a wide range of subjects, including landscape and people, I am particularly interested in what I call texture and abstract photography. I love the patterns and finishes nature creates and taking photos of an enigmatic subject where nothing in the image provides any context or scale. This allows the viewer’s imagination to play, sometimes with a title to confuse.
